In May 2006, a new monarchy sailed into Solclaim staking claim on the land at 19.2S 68.2E. The initial monarchy was a joint effort between Gabs and Dark Entropy, under the flag of the Rossu Morta, but after discovering that just playing the game far outweighed steering the vessel, the helm was passed into Gabs hands. The search began for a new name and thus the Pirates of Dereth became a name familiar to all of Dereth.

The ideals of the Pirates is a group of people brought together to have fun, but in having said fun, respect their fellow clan, people of Dereth and help each other when able.

The Code of Conduct (check COC under Menu) is simple as too many rules can take away from the fun, but some structure is needed. The basis of these rules are as easy as respecting yourself and those around you and treating others as you would wish to be treated. It would be expected that you are able to conduct yourself in a manner that reflects positively on the clan and yourself.

Patron/Vassal Relationships: At the present time, there is no specific screening process to become a member. There are persons known to the monarchy that do not necessarily merit Pirate status and would not be able to join anyway. If you are interested in joining or have questions contact the monarch or an officer.

Vassals should not expect to have everything handed to them, and patrons should be able to assist their vassals within reason. Patrons should be able to teach vassals how to play the game, equip them appropriately for their level and show them the ways of a Pirates life. Do not take vassals aboard you will not help and only expect xp from.

Begging will not be tolerated. Learn to be as self sufficient as your level allows. This is not to say clan will not help you, but do not expect people to drop what they are doing to fulfill a whim.

Buff Bots: Are provided free to clan. Trial and Error Mage Man, Gabs, & Finnigan Flash all have 2 hour buffs:  If you have questions on operating the bots, please just ask for help.

Questing: We quest as often as possible and try to involve all levels that we can. Refer to the quest section of the forums and check the calendar for upcoming events.

PK/PKL: As far as this aspect of the game goes, the initial ideal of Pirate life remains. Respect others; this includes no cussing or whining or annoying banter in general chat. Take it private! You know the rules (or lack there of) before typing /pklite. Also, interference in clan mates battles are not tolerated.

Body Recoveries: If you run into trouble, ask in /a chat. If someone is available to help, they will do so as soon as they are able. Chat can go quickly sometimes, so if no one replies, ask again, but do not be spamming /a or /cg.

Any and all problems should be brought to your patron first, to a clan officer or the monarch. We are all here to help each other and have fun, but when issues arise, remember there are lines of command that can assist.

In closing, Welcome Aboard mate! Hope you have fun and enjoy the ride!

Gabs
